Step-A-Side Care exists to give young adults with learning disabilities, challenging behaviours and autistic spectrum disorders the support they need after a childhood in care.
Through the promotion of independence when possible and providing support when it's needed, we help our clients reach their full potential. Our specially chosen homes in the Forest of Dean provide a warm, family atmosphere in a relaxing and therapeutic rural setting.
What's more, by carefully managing relationships with the local people, our young adults can become an integral part of the community – whether they're enjoying horse riding down the road or earning some money working for a local business.
But for all the beautiful countryside, community spirit and access to an inspiring range of activities – our key strength is our staff team. They have many years' experience providing professional care and are only too willing to go that extra mile that makes our residents feel like an important part of an extended family.

Children's Services
Step-A-Side Company Ltd provides more then residential accommodation for children with learning disabilities, challenging behaviours and autistic spectrum disorders – we provide a true home, in every sense of the word. By picking properties that are conducive to creating a family feel, our facilities give our residents the stability they need to meet the challenge of disadvantage with increased confidence.

Domiciliary Care
Step-A-Side Care Limited has a longstanding reputation for providing high-quality residential care for young people with autistic spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, physical disabilities or challenging behaviour. Following registration with the Care Quality Commission in 2009, we are now able to deliver the same conscientious care and professional standards in the clients' own homes
