Residential Care

Step-A-Side Care provides more then residential accommodation for adults (18+) with learning disabilities, challenging behaviours and autistic spectrum disorders – we provide a true home, in every sense of the word. By picking properties that are conducive to creating a family feel, our facilities give our residents the stability they need to meet the challenge of disadvantage with increased confidence.

But a comfortable, welcoming home is just the start of creating an environment that seeks to encourage residents to grow and develop. Our established and experienced staff team provides the consistency that's vital for any resident to develop relationships based on trust, reliance and respect.

All Step-A-Side Care homes create clear boundaries of acceptable behaviour which are easy for residents to understand. Values are enforced through non-punitive systems that inspire our residents to consider others in all their actions. Residents can earn privileges through good behaviour, but if they slip up, their normal programme of activities is not affected; so we can build bridges without putting vital self esteem at risk.
